And remember the favor of Allah upon you –
when you were enemies and He brought your hearts together
and you became, by His favor, brothers. And you were on the
edge of a pit of the Fire, and He saved you from it. Thus does
Allah make clear to you His verses that you may be guided.

Becase alot of muslims are VERRY LOSE there and we need people like Brother Mutah to inspire those muslims in Holland!

It is so sad that i can not be there becase you all on the text i life in Holland. But i wonder if you all recording the lecture. if it is so, do you all put it on internet or do we have to buy that lecture?

    Jazak Allah khair!

  4. Bro Zakr (Damon Turner) says:

As-salaamu alaikum aki, Insha Allah i would like to find out where i can purchase these lectures. I was born and raised in Washington DC and like most of us young guys i fell into the urban trap and played around with the drugs and etc. But Alhumdulilah i was given a second chance to excpet Islam and work good deeds Insha Allah. i have a group of guys i grew up with since childhood and im the only muslim and i try to give dawah the best i can with the limited knowledge that i have Insha Allah. But i found your site and im thinking that Insha Allah if i can get hold of some theses lectures and play them for my friends they will see more or less play closer attention based on the fact that they still listen to all the OutLaws and Pac cd’s. Insha Allah im making dua that i can get hold of some of these lectures and share it with them so they can see how the fast life and having all the money is nothing and that islam is the way. Insha ALlah they will be better able to except it coming from someone who has lived that life. As salaamu alaikum wa rahmatullah

    jazakallah kair, your brother Zakr.

  5. Yusuf says:

  7. Saqib says:

    As-Salaamu AlaiKum,

Al-hamdulillah, that Allah has guided us to Islaam.
I have correctly read the above description and al-hamdulillah.

But i have come accross some people who have mis-read the following line…
“Loon, now amir, former Puff daddy and Bad boy record artist.”

Some people falsely think that Puff Daddy has become a Muslim.

I have tried clearing it up with them,
that Loon was a person who with WITH P-Diddy,
    and Loon is NOT P-Diddy.

But i think that maybe something might need to be mentioned, unless a rumour spreads like wild-fire.

I think it is to do with people skim-reading and missing out words in the sentence when they read.

    As-Salaamu AlaiKum,

  8. abdul jalil says:

As Salaamu Alaikum i just wanted to give of few verdicts from some of our great scholars from over seas from a very good book titled Fatawa Islamiyah volume 8 on music insha allah allah says There will be from my nation a people who will deem fornication .silk for men ,alchohol and music to be permissible.allah all so says that and of mankind is he who purchases lahw al hadith idle talk to mislead from the path of allah with out knowledge and u can find this hadith in sahih al bukhari insha allah

  9. abdul jalil says:

This is shaykh A’bdul -Aziz bin Abdullah bin baz verdict on music, television and radio the shaykhs response was it is not allowed to listen to singing and playing musical instruments ,since it diverts the listener from the remembrance of allah and from prayer ,and because hearing it sickens and hardens the heart

  11. Yusuf says:

Assalamu Alaikum, just to add something in for the people who may not recognize the true significance of this online meeting between the brothers Mutah a.k.a Napoleon and Amir a.k.a Loon…

These brothers are coming opposite groups of the most infamous hip hop rivalry in history between Tupac and the Outlawz & Bad Boy. The feud which some have said to have been responsible for the sentiments leading up to the death of Tupac and Biggie Smalls. Had this been 10 years back, these brothers would have been at it.

    Just look at the headlines:

“Beale, a member of the rap group Outlawz and a protege of the late Tupac Shakur, is best known for an incident at MTV’s 20th anniversary special in 2001. During a rehearsal, he grabbed the microphone from Sean “Puffy” Combs, starting a shoving match.” – Rap Network

“Tupac rapper (Napoleon) grabbed a microphone out of Combs’s hand while he was performing. According to onlookers Combs immediately demonstrated his infamous temper. Suddenly everyone from both sides, Combs representing Smalls crowded the center of the stage. “It got very tense,” one witness told me. “There was a real fear that something bad was going to happen.” – Fox News

“And remember the favor of Allah upon you –
when you were enemies and He brought your hearts together and you became, by His favor, brothers.”
    Qur’an 3:103

  12. MR says:

    Was this recorded?

  13. abdul kareem says:

    May Allah guide us all

  14. omar says:

salam alikum ….even if they are still involved in music they are still muslims and the tawba door or repentance is still open we should make dua for them and give them advice or naseeha ..

  15. Abdul Kareem says:

Yes the door of repentance is always open and praying for them is beneficial for them, but that has nothing to do with accompanying them and befriending them. The Prophet said: The man is upon the deen of his companion(tirmidhee) So from text like this the scholars say it is not permissible to befriend the people of bida and sin. So giving lectures with people still engaged openly in sin and transgression is not permissible.

  16. Yusuf says:

In regards the issue of Hajr in this paticular case, you should take note brother Abdukareem of what Shaykhul-Islaam Ibn Taymiyyah had to say about the issue:

“And if the one being boycotted and those with him will not be prevented by that, rather they will increase in their evil, and the boycotter is weak, such that the harm will be preponderant over the benefit, then it is not prescribed by the Sharee’ah. Rather, unity is better for some of the people than boycotting.”

You shouldn’t be so quick to give fatwas regarding issues you are not entirely aware of. These sessions have been very valuable to many people who look up to these individuals in helping to realize the evils of it, as well as the individuals themselves who come, admit they are wrong, and weak and that they pray that Allah saves them from it, but they are warning people from first hand experience not to indulge in this lifestyle.

“And cooperate in righteousness and piety, but do not cooperate in sin and aggression. And fear Allah; indeed, Allah is severe in penalty. ” 5:2

  17. napoleon says:

As salaamu alaikum brother Abdul Kareem. JazakAllahu khairan for your post. I would like to take this opportunity to respond to it. Our brother Freeway is not calling to the music industry as he announces in various interviews that music is haram and impermissible in his religion (i.e. Islaam). He is stuck in a contract and in the music industry it is hard to get released from a contract. When Sheik Yahya Al Hujaree visited the brothers in the UK, he asked the brothers if they kept in contact with their friends from jahiliyah (pre-Islamic days of ignorance). The brothers responed in the negative. The Sheik said that they should keep in touch with those they ran with in jahiliyah in order to call them to Islaam because they may accept Islaam from them more than they would from a Sheik, etc (wa Allahu alam). So when we are talking or befriending brothers that may still be involved in the music industry, how do you know the context of our conversation isn’t calling them away from that life and to leave that business? I was with Jack Fross and Freeway yesterday while in Philly and Jack Fross told me he repented and he is no longer in the music industry. Freeway also mentioned how he is trying to get out of the industry. Therefore, your statement saying that jack fross is still involved in the music industry was a little hasty, and this talk can spread unjustly dishonouring this brother. Make dua for our brothers. If we turn our backs and are harsh towards them, this can lead them to stay away from the muslims and in return slide deeper into that life style. May Allah make us all better and make us not forget about our own sins and shortcomings; may Allah forgive us, ameen.

  18. abdul jalil says:

  19. Site admin says:

    Salam alaikum wr wb,

First off all, Jazak-Allah Khair to all the brothers who left comments on the post. I have seen all the comments and have allowed opposing viewpoints to make their point. We do not want to make this forum a tit-for-tat, getting one-up on someone, and citing hadiths to validate our claims. This is not that place!
With that said, the people associated with this site including Mutah are not people of hawa (desires) they consult respected scholars and not the ‘popular’ ones and act diligently in practicing their deen in all aspects of life.

    Please read the following:
    Jazak-Allah-Khair for your understanding

  23. Abdul Hafeez says:

As salaamu walikum brother Muhta may Allah reward u for the dawah u have been giving surkron.

  24. craig morrison says:

    dear luqman sidat
yes i was the lad who was offered water
the talk was very informative and to be given the chance to eat and speak with napoleon was excellent and showed that he sticks to his humble begginings where as some “celebritys” or ex as in napoleons case could have just ignored us

  25. Taqweem Ahsan says:

    As-salamu alaykum wa rahmatullah.
(Apologies in advance for what might turn out to be a touch lengthy). For what it is worth I would just like to say, brother Mutah has come to the UK on many occasions, tirelessly travelling up and down the country to give dawah to the youth and mashallah many many people have been positively effected and inspired, by the Fadl of Allah, due to what they heard of his story and advice. Many youth have re-assessed their committment to Islam and thus become more dedicated to the worship of Allah after having encountered his chronicle and a good number having taken a serious interest in Islam and a good number have even embraced the faith, witnessed first-hand!

Having travelled with him a few times i have seen the amazing reaction of people after hearing his story and self-re-evaluation. He has been able to penetrate areas for dawah by the Grace of Allah that we as individuals would not be able to penetrate, even in our dreams, and has been able to attract such a large amount of people during some of his talks that it has been breath-taking.

Yet all the while I have seen that he tries to get advice from the correct Scholars regarding the complexities encircling the work he is doing of dawah and when something new comes to him of deen, sound scholarly advice or even from the lay-man, i have never seen him turn his face away, rather i have seen him embrace that which comes to him of goodness.

I have also seen that he loves to become familiar with the sunnah of our beloved Messenger sallallahu alayhi wa sallam and that of the salaf.

How many occasions he has politely told muslims and non-muslims who want to take a photgraph of him as a memorabilia, that pictures are haram and not allowed in his faith. Similarly with autographs and the shaking of womens hands and other that this of what he is regularly faced with in the public arena and then the numerous amount of Islamic discussions that have taking place ouside of this in his comfort zone.

The Podium is a place well-sought after and how many da’ees have destroyed themselves due to it, who end up giving false fataawa and the like, and i have seen brother Mutah constantly try to avoid these situations and run away from giving fataawa and pass the questions of rulings to those besides him more able or simply say ‘i dont know’.

No doubt Allah Knows our inner realities and i do not praise him over that which deserves, inshallah, and neither do i speak about his sincerity, neither mine, nor anyone elses as Allah Knows the inner selves more than we know our ourselves.

I have only mentioned what is apparent to me and that what is apparent of his Islam in contrast to where he has come from and left by absolute choice. Thus we should stay far away from jealousy and evil-suspicion and wish and hope good from our brother, make dua that Allah continues to protect him, increases him in goodness and keep him upon the Sunnah of our beloved Messenger.

“Indeed Allah has commanded Justice and Al-Ihsan…” (Surah Nahl)

So be just brothers and sisters and give credit where credit is due. Thank the brother for his efforts and the efforts of the brother/s who relentlessly put this website together and all the other on-line stuff they have done for your accessability and those who helped all his dawah projects become a reality.

Indeed the Messenger of Allah said which is found in the authentic hadeeth from Abu Hurayrah, collected in the Sunan of Abi Dawud and Sunan of Imam at-Tirmidhee and others and which occurs in As-Saheehah of Shaykh Nasir:

“Whoever does not thank the people, does not thank Allah”.

Jazakumallahu Khayran for taking the time to read this over-elongated post. Wasalamu alaykum wa rahmatullah.

  26. Liban Afduub says:

Asalamu Aleikum. Brothers n sisters visit these websites

    The Religion of Islam
The first thing that one should know and clearly understand about Islam is what the word “Islam” itself means. The religion of Islam is not named after a person as in the case of Christianity which was named after Jesus Christ, Buddhism after Gotama Buddha, Confucianism after Confucius, and Marxism after Karl Marx. Nor was it named after a tribe like Judaism after the tribe of Judah and Hinduism after the Hindus. Islam is the true religion of “Allah” and as such, its name represents the central principle of Allah’s “God’s” religion; the total submission to the will of Allah “God”.

The Arabic word “Islam” means the submission or surrender of one’s will to the only true god worthy of worship “Allah” and anyone who does so is termed a “Muslim”, The word also implies “peace” which is the natural consequence of total submission to the will of Allah. Hence, it was not a new religion brought by Prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him) I in Arabia in the seventh century, but only the true religion of Allah re-expressed in its final form.

Islam is the religion which was given to Adam, the first man and the first prophet of Allah, and it was the religion of all the prophets sent by Allah to mankind. The name of God’s religion Islam was not decided upon by later generations of man. It was chosen by Allah Himself and clearly mentioned in His final revelation to man. In the final book of divine revelation, the Qur’an, Allah states the following:
“This day have I perfected your religion for you, completed My favor upon you, and have chosen for you Islam as your religion”. (Qur’an 5:3)

“If anyone desires a religion other than Islam (submission to Allah (God) never will It be accepted of Him” (Qur’an 3:85)
“Abraham was not a Jew nor Christian; but an upright Muslim.” (Qur’an 3:67)

Since the total submission of one’s will to Allah represents the essence of worship, the basic message of Allah’s divine religion, Islam is the worship of Allah alone and the avoidance of worship directed to any person, place or thing other than Allah. Since everything other than Allah, the Creator of all things is Allah’s creation; it may be said that Islam, in essence calls man away from the worship of creation and invites him to worship only its Creator. He is the only one deserving man’s worship as it is only by His will that prayers are answered.

“You alone do we worship and from you alone do we seek help”. (Qur’an 1:5)
Elsewhere, in the final book of revelation, the Qur’an, Allah also said:
“And your Lord says:”Call on Me and I will answer your (prayer).” (Qur’an 40:60)

It is worth noting that the basic message of Islam is that Allah and His creation are distinctly different entities. Neither is Allah His creation or a part of it, nor is His creation Him or a part of Him.
This might seem obvious, but, man’s worship of creation instead of the Creator is to a large degree based on ignorance of this concept. It is the belief that the essence of Allah is everywhere in His creation or that His divine being is or was present in some aspects of His creation, which has provided justification for the worship of creation though such worship maybe called the worship of Allah through his creation. However, the message of Islam as brought by the prophets of Allah is to worship only Allah and to avoid the worship of his creation either directly or indirectly. In the Qur’an Allah clearly states:
“For We assuredly sent amongst every people a prophet,(with the command) worship me and avoid false gods ” (Qur’an 16:36)

Within the central principle of Islam and in its definition, (the surrender of one’s will to God) lies the roots of Islam’s universality. Whenever man comes to the realization that Allah is one and distinct from His creation, and submits himself to Allah, he becomes a Muslim in body and spirit and is eligible for paradise. Thus, anyone at anytime in the most remote region of the world can become a Muslim, a follower of God’s religion, Islam, by merely rejecting the worship of creation and by turning to Allah (God) alone. It should be noted however, that the recognition of and submission to Allah requires that one chooses between right and wrong and such a choice implies accountability. Man will be held responsible for his choices, and, as such, he should try his utmost to do good and avoid evil. The ultimate good being the worship of Allah alone and the ultimate evil being the worship of His creation along with or instead of Allah.

The question which arises here is, “How can all people be expected to believe in Allah given their varying- backgrounds, societies and cultures? For people to be responsible for worshipping Allah they all have to have access to knowledge of Allah. The final revelation teaches that all mankind have the recognition of Allah imprinted on their souls, a part of their very nature with which they are created.
In the Qur’an 172-173; Allah explained that when He created Adam, He caused all of Adam’s descendants to come into existence and took a pledge from them saying, Am I not your Lord? To which they all replied, ” Yes, we testify to It:’
Allah then explained why He had all of mankind bear witness that He is their creator and only true God worthy of worship. He said, “That was In case you (mankind) should say on the day of Resurrection, “Verily we were unaware of all this.” That is to say, we had no idea that You Allah, were our God. No one told us that we were only supposed to worship You alone. Allah went on to explain that it was also In case you should say, “Certainly It was our ancestors who made partners (With Allah) and we are only their descendants; will You then destroy us for what those liars did?” Thus, every child is born with a natural belief in Allah and an inborn inclination to worship Him alone called in Arabic the “Fitrah”.
Prophets were sent, as was earlier mentioned, to every nation and tribe to support man’s natural belief in Allah and man’s inborn inclination to worship Him as well as to reinforce the divine truth in the daily signs revealed by Allah. Although, in most cases, much of the prophets’ teachings became distorted, portions remained which point out right and wrong. Consequently, every soul will be held to account for its belief in Allah and its acceptance of the religion of Islam; the total submission to the will of Allah.
We pray to Allah, the exalted, to keep us on the right path to which He has guided us, and to bestow on us a blessing from Him, He is indeed the Most Merciful. Praise and gratitude be to Allah, the Lord of the worlds, and peace and blessings be on prophet Muhammad, his Family, his companions, and those who rightly follow them.
